During an appearance on The Breakfast Club, the “I Invented Sex” singer reminded everyone of their past disagreement, but reassured his fans that he doesn’t want to fight — he just wants to “get some money.”
“Y’all remember August was talking crazy a couple years ago and I ain’t want to fight? I don’t want to fight. I want to get some money,” he said. “I don’t want to fight nobody. That don’t prove nothing. I’m 32-years-old. I got hands. It don’t prove nothing to beat nobody up.”
Take a look, below:
After learning of Trey’s comments, August, 24, took to social media to share a petty response of his own, threatening to beat his peer’s “goofy a*s” in the process.
Trey took to the comments section under his post, returning the favor in with a series of laughing emojis.
The beef apparently started over a show that was agreed to before his debut album Testimony.
“I don’t really f— with Trey right now. We don’t get along right now. He did some other s— and we just don’t rock,” Alsina, basically tells us he didn’t keep it real?
“Like I tell people all the time, show me that you’re this person on day one…you should always be that person,” he says. “We were supposed to have a show together and it just went left ’cause I can’t deal with n—-s’ egos and attitudes ’cause I’m just a real n—- comin’ through and I’m rockin’.”
“Once n—-s go to talkin’ a certain type of way, that s— ain’t gon’ fly with me and that’s all that was and I just had to not do the show ’cause I can’t stand on side of a n—- if I really got something that I feel in my heart,” he continues. “It just ain’t gonna work, so I just had to dip and we didn’t do it, but it is what it is.”
Trey Songz side:
August is like a little brother to me. You know what I mean? I took him on early in his career.
We had a discrepancy and he didn’t know how to deal with that. He hasn’t been in a situation where he has to answer the same question a million times. That’s frustrating so you know, I believe he spoke and said some things he didn’t really mean. Out of pressure.
I really care about him. I mean, he got a lot going on in his life, outside of music. And I know that about him.
Why Did He Wait to Respond:
I didn’t feel the need to speak out against him; that really don’t do nothing for me. I don’t wanna see nobody do bad. Especially if a new artist come in and I think they’re talented. [Otherwise], I wouldn’t have jumped on his song or been all in this picture, that picture. Have him here, there with me…
